JACOB LAWRENCE EDUCATION SPACE

From October 2015 to January 2016, the Taft Museum of Art featured Heroism in Paint: A Master Series by Jacob Lawrence. The series focused on the life of Toussaint L'Ouverture. The education space provided several different ways to connect to Lawrence's work, including Lawrence's influences, the Harlem Renaissance, and the theme of heroes. The space also included a touchscreen kiosks with a timeline of Lawrence's work, a comment board for visitor feedback about heroes, and a family guide.
