SENIOR PROJECT - ELY

The culmination of all the work I produced in Illustration led to the prestigious annual Ely exhibition, which represented a students best work for the senior year. Students were required to pick from several topics and supply four illustrations along with typography to illustrate the series. I chose the theme "Children of the World" or the social well-being of children. Each painting was produced in oil on canvas (18"X24").

FIGURE DRAWINGS

Figure drawing and anatomy were fundamental to illustration, since the human figure is a dominant subject in pictorial illustration. In addition to required courses, I took figure drawing classes on a regular basis, complimented by figure modeling in the sculpture department.
